Wombwell Represents Women's Soccer on All-Southeast Region Second Team


MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University sophomore midfielder Alyssa Wombwell (Grand Blanc, MI) has been named to the 2009 Daktronics All-Southeast Region Team announced on Tuesday afternoon. The Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams are voted on, powered by ATHLETICSITE.com, by the sports information directors of the Southeast Region. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, the South Atlantic Conference, Chowan University and North Greenville University.

Earning her honors, Wombwell notched a team-high 11 goals on the season which included a hat-trick against St. Andrews on October 24th. The sophomore chipped in four assists and led the Lady Falcons with three game-winning goals on the year. 

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
