Four Falcons from Men's Soccer to Play in the USL's Pro Development League

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Three former and one current player of the 2009 Pfeiffer University men’s soccer team have been given the opportunity to continue their playing careers in the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Professional Development League (PDL). Boo Tesh, Kash Knight, Renato Barbosa and Wilver Menacho have all moved on into the 68 team league broken down into four conferences divided into two divisions. The league is known around the country as a stepping stone towards the pro.

Tesh, having one more year left with the Falcons, has joined the West Virginia Chaos based in the Eastern Conference’s Mid-Atlantic Division. The 16-game slate for the Chaos begins on May 8th and concludes July 26th. Knight, Barbosa and Menacho are all a part of the Hampton Roads Piranhas in the same conference and division as the Chaos. The Piranhas will begin their campaign on May 9th at Reading United AC wrapping up their season on July 25th.
