Women's Cross Country Finishes Tough D1 Heavy Race 20th at Royal XC Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University women’s cross country team finished 20th in the 2010 Royal Cross Country Challenge gold race on Friday afternoon at McAlpine Park. Seven division one schools ran in the 5k gold race with Florida State taking the top team spot.

Junior Kaitlyn Mullis led the Lady Falcons with a time of 20:36 finishing 121st overall. Pfeiffer had three runners cross the line within 38 seconds of each other staring with Yasmin Ingram. Ingram finished with a time of 23:18 followed by Carrie Early’s 23:45 and Rachel Biggerstaff’s 23:56.

April Hinson, Nina Ubabuike and Ashley Stutts rounded out Pfeiffer’s time during the first of three events for the Lady Falcons at McAlpine Park. Hinson clocked in after 24 and a half minutes with Ubabuike concluding in 26:16 and Stutts at 27:48.
