Conference Win Streak Comes to an End as Women's Volleyball Gets Swept Away at Queens

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Keri Kemp had a match-high dozen kills to lead Queens University of Charlotte to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-14) sweep over Pfeiffer University in Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball on Wednesday night. The Royals also sweep the season series moving to 16-7 overall, 9-5 in league play. The loss snaps a five-game conference win streak for the Lady Falcons dipping to 9-14, 8-6.
Queens hit .246 in the victory as Alexa Sparell and Anna Gibbs followed Kemp with nine kills. Sparell hit .300 in the contest while Gibbs hit at .400. Avery Moore has a match-high 37 assists. For Pfeiffer, senior Kristina Mordini had eight kills while Jordan O'Bryant and Kim Amerell each had four. Queens also out-blocked Pfeiffer 8-2.
The Lady Falcons return home on Friday night hosting Erskine at 7:00 p.m. Friday marks the annual “Dig for the Cure” night to help the Side Out Foundation and Breast Cancer Research.
