MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Brevard College picked up three early points en route to an 8-1 win over Pfeiffer University in non-conference women’s tennis action on Friday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center. Brevard wins its season opener as the Lady Falcons fall to 1-2.

The Tornados rolled to 8-4 and 8-2 wins in doubles, winning the third match by forfeit. BC cruised in straight-sets during four of their five singles wins as Alena Krutina forced a third set after a 6-2 win in the middle stanza. Briana Oliver registered the lone Lady Falcon point on the day with a 6-1, 7-5 win in the fifth singles match.

Pfeiffer gets back to action quickly on Saturday afternoon heading to Newberry for a 1:00 p.m. start.
