MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University men’s basketball coach Jeremy Currier is excited to announce the Carolina Top 100 Camp on June 22–24, 2011 inside the Merner Gym.  The camp will feature one NBA’s Rising Stars, Donte Greene from the Sacramento Kings.  Greene, originally drafted as the 28th pick by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2008, was dealt to the Houston Rockets, before finally landing on the Sacramento Kings in 2008.

As a 6’11’’ wing for the Kings, Greene averages 6.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg in his career to go along his 18 minutes/game. Greene went to the University of Syracuse and averaged a team leading 17.7 ppg to go along with his 7.2 rpg, 2.0 apg, and 1.29 apg in 2007-2008.  His 620 total points, as a freshman, ranks him second in Syracuse history behind Carmelo Anthony.  In 2007, Donte Greene was invited to play in the FIBA World Championship where Team USA earned the Silver Medal.

“We are thrilled to have Donte be a part of our upcoming camp at Pfeiffer,” said Currier. “Donte is a rising star in the NBA that will give our campers insight into the amount of hard work and dedication it takes to succeed on and off the court. Having Donte be a part of the Pfeiffer basketball camps is an amazing opportunity for the kids.”
