Steady Fields Leads Men's Golf to Top Five Finish at Anderson Invitational

ANDERSON, S.C. – Cameron Fields fired back-to-back rounds of 75 to finished tied for tenth overall at the 2011 Anderson Invitational at the 7,002-yard, par 72 layout of Cobb’s Glenn Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. As a team, Pfeiffer University improved eight shots in round two concluding fifth overall in the two-day event.
Behind Fields, Michael Blair trimmed six shots off his first round with a 73 on Tuesday as did Alejandro Valls shaving off a half dozen strokes with his 74. In the middle, Tyson Louth concluded at 153 while Luiz Jacintho wrapped up at 161. Tusculum College won the overall team event at 589 with Nick York taking individual medalist honors carding a two-day total of one-under 143.
Pfeiffer returns to action Monday and Tuesday hosting the Pfeiffer Intercollegiate at Tillery Tradition Country Club.
