Peareth Leads Women's Golf with Third Place Finish at 2011 Patsy Rendleman Inviational

SALISBURY, N.C. - Pfeiffer University improved 13 shots from round one to round two finishing 11th at the 2011 Patsy Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba at the Country Club of Salisbury. Steph Peareth concluded inside the top-10 carding a tournament total of 152 (73/79) to wrap up tied for seventh.
Chelsea Demers took four less shots in Tuesday's final round to conclude second best for the Lady Falcons at 164 (84/80). Lauren Lyle improved by seven shots on Tuesday to shoot 173 while Meredith Beavin had an eight stroke improvement. Victoria Purcell concluded scoring for Pfeiffer improving a team-best 13 shots.
N.C. State's Lindsay McGetrick won individual medalist honors with a 73-72 to finish at 145. Newberry won the overall team event by 18 shots over Carson-Newman and Tusculum, fellow South Atlantic Conference schools.
The Lady Falcons have now wrapped up their 2011 fall season and will be back in action in the spring of 2012.
