Reese Drops Double-Double with 19 Points, 10 Boards as Women's Basketball Wins Fourth-Straight in 80-61 Win at Barber Scotia

CONCORD, N.C. - Dropping a team-high 19 points with 10 rebounds, Shelley Reese helped guide Pfeiffer University to an 80-61 victory at host Barber Scotia on Friday night. The win makes four-straight for the Lady Falcons improving to 5-3 on the year while the Sabers drop to 3-13.

Reese was one of five Lady Falcons to post double-figures as Brittany Cox followed Reese with 16. Vontenea Williams added a dozen going 8-for-10 from the charity stripe while Jodie Lemons and Vontreece Hayes each contributed 10 off the bench. Cox finished just one board shy of a double-double while Kellie Rhoney dished out a team-high six assists.

Pfeiffer would knock down 10 shots from long range and carry a 53-47 rebound advantage during the win. A season-high 12 steals also accompanied the Lady Falcons in the 19-point win.

Pfeiffer will now look to their final non-conference and contest of 2011 heading to Brevard on Monday afternoon. Conference play for the Lady Falcons begins on January 3rd.
