Demers Finishes Second Individually; Lady Falcons 3rd Overall at Dana Rader Intercollegiate

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Pfeiffer University's Chelsea Demers shot a two-day total 149 to finish in a tie for second individually at the 2012 Dana Rader Intercollgiate. Demers lost a scorecard playoff with Armstrong Atlantic's Kelly Pearce who wins medalist honors with her final round birdie on #18. As a team, Pfeiffer would finish third behind Lander and Midwestern State.
After a first round 75, Demers continued her consistent play with a Tuesday 74. Steph Peareth would rebound nicely on Tuesday with a 75, improving five shots from Monday's 80. Danielle Haizlip and Lauren Lyle would each round out the Lady Falcons team score along with Amanda Wemple. Pfeiffer finished the tournament as the best Conference Carolinas school out of six teams, finishing five shots better than Mount Olive in fifth.
Pearce and Demers headline the all-tournament team along with Mount Olive's Emelie Andersson who also fired a two-day total of 149. Midwestern State's Brenna Moore and Lander's Marianna Martins rounds out the all-tournament team. Martins tied with Wingate's Lucia Careaga at 151, but posted a final round 76 to Careaga's 79 for the tiebreaker.
