Shepherd Ties Career-High with Seven Goals as Men's Lacrosse Throttles Lees-McRae 19-1

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University's James Shepherd (St. John, NEW BRUNSWICK) tied a career-high with seven goals during a 19-1 romp over Lees-McRae College in Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons move to 10-3 overall winning their sixth-straight, 4-0 in league play, while the Bobcats dip to 1-9, 0-4.
Justin Rose (Rochester, NY) and Shepherd got the day's scoring underway early in the first quarter as Shepherd would have himself a hat trick by the end of the first 15 minutes.
Shepherd would add two more in the second along with Rose. Tucker Hammock (Marietta, GA) would have three goals along with Rose at the end of the second.
Pfeiffer continued their onslaught with eight more strikes in the second half led by Shepherd's final two of the day with Rose and Hammock later tallying man-up goals. Cole Paciejewski (Prince George, BRITISH COLUMBIA) finished the day with a pair of strikes in the fourth quarter.
Both teams combined for 23 penalties covering 20:30 of action on the day.
Pfeiffer gets back to action next Saturday traveling to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with a showdown against the nation's top team Mercyhurst.
