Men's Soccer Blanked in League Opener at Queens 4-0

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A pair of goals in the first and second half enabled Queens to score a 4-0 shutout of Pfeiffer University in Conference Carolinas men's soccer action on Saturday night. Playing in rainy conditions all match long, the Royals improve to 3-1 overall, 1-0 in league play while the Falcons drop to 0-4, 0-1.
Erick Suarez started scoring for Queens in the 12th minute on an assist from Kevin Anderson. To close out the first half, Diego Suarez found the back of the net off a corner kick in the 42nd minute.
Second half of scoring began with Yannick Fischbach tallying unassisted before Joshua Dowd closed things out in the 78th minute of play. Pfeiffer fired off five shots on the night. Zach Liles made three saves in goal for the Falcons.
