Lyle Leads Women's Golf to 11th Place Finish at Lander Invitational on Hilton Head Island

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Pfeiffer University's women's golf team concluded the Lander Bearcat Invitational in 11th place after weekend competition at Hilton Head Island's Old South Golf Links. Lauren Lyle led the way for the Lady Falcons finished tied for 29th.

Lyle was one of four Pfeiffer golfers with consistent rounds over the two-day tournament. Lyle shot 77/78 to conclude at 155 while Danielle Haizlip posted a pair of 79's.

Stefania Valgeirsdottir followed with 83/82 while Katie Nance carded two rounds of 83. Georgi Hoeksema rounded out team action with a 187.

Savannah College of Arts and Design (SCAD) won the team event by four shots over host Lander. Lander's Teresa Caballer Hernani used a school-record round of 66 to take individual honors on the par-72, 5,826-yard layout.

The Lady Falcons will next tee it up on October 15th and 16th traveling to the Patsy Rendleman Invitational at the Salisbury Country Club.
