Misenheimer, NC – The Pfeiffer women’s tennis team lost to UNC-Pembroke on Thursday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center 2-7. Pfeiffer ended the afternoon with one win in both the doubles and singles matches.
The second doubles team of Patty Dominguez (Caracas, Venezuela) and Maddy Billeter (Boca Raton, FL) grabbed the only Pfeiffer doubles victory of the day. The Falcons beat UNC-P’s Christian Minnick (Laurinburg, NC) and Maricel Quintero Prieto (Bogota, Columbia) 8-1. Catie Thomas (Asheboro, NC) earned the team’s only singles win 6-2, 6-1 over UNC-P’s Minnick in the third spot.Pfeiffer v. UNC-P 02/12/09 Doubles Reyes/Thomas v.
