#10 Men's Lacrosse Rallies in Fourth, Holds On Late for 8-7 Win over Florida Southern

JACKSONVILLE, F.L. - Four fourth quarter goals allowed 10th-ranked Pfeiffer University to pull out an 8-7 victory over Florida Southern in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons improve to 7-1 overall while sending the mocs to 3-4.
Down 5-4 heading into the final 15 minutes, the Falcons would reel off the first four goals of the period and hold off a Florida Southern comeback to hang on for the win. Elliot Gilbert tied things up 22 seconds into the fourth while Kory Lutes scored his second and third goals, one man-up, to help give Pfeiffer its final lead of the day. Steven Tilmon would also contribute in the four-goal run as well. Florida Southern made things interesting with goals by Chris Murphy and Stephen Boyle just 12 seconds apart with under two minutes to play.
