Specian's Big Night against Limestone Lands Him Player of the Week Honors for Men's Volleyball

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University's David Specian has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week during week nine of the 2012–2013 Volleyball season. After a nearly two-week layoff, Specian (Loxahatchee, FL) put together one of his best nights of the season with 56 assists in a 3-1 league win over Limestone to clinch a bye in the first round of the upcoming Conference Carolinas tournament.

Specian averaged a whopping 14 assists/set having a hand in over half of the points scored for the Falcons in Wednesday's victory. Specian would also add a kill, eight digs and three block assists to avenge a season-opening league loss at Limestone earlier in the year.

Specian and the Falcons will now prepare for a three-match week traveling to Lees-McRae on Tuesday before hosting Coker and NJIT on Friday night.
