Tuttle's Stellar Outing vs. Barton Earns Him League's Pitcher of the Week Honors
April 9, 2013
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Bryan Tuttle has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Baseball Pitcher of the Week during week nine of the 2012–2013 Baseball season. Tuttle (Lenoir, NC) tossed a complete game, three-hit shutout as the Falcons pick up a 1-0 win in game two of a weekend series at Barton.
Tuttle would face two batters over the minimum allowing just the three Bulldogs hits with a pair of strikeouts facing 23 hitters. Tuttle would need just 73 pitches in the contest recording his fifth complete game of the season. After giving up his first two hits, Tuttle would bounce back to get a double play ball to end a threat.
After completing the three-game weekend sweep at Barton, Tuttle and the Falcons will now look towards a non-conference meeting with Armstrong Atlantic on Tuesday before hosting King over the weekend.
