Haizlip Finishes Tied for Second Leading Women's Golf at Agnes McAmis Memorial; Conference Tournament Next

GREENEVILLE, T.N. - The Pfeiffer University women's golf team wrapped up the 2012-2013 regular season with a 15th place finish at the Agnes McAmis Memorial hosted by Tusculum College. Danielle Haizlip led the way finishing tied for second overall being named to the all-tournament.

Haizlip improved on her first round 77 to fire a 73 on Tuesday to finish six-over par for the tournament. Lauren Lyle would shave seven strokes from round one to two to finish at 165 while Stefania Valgeirsdottir concluded just two shots back of Lyle. Georgia Hoeksema wrapped up the tournament with a two-day total of 190 on the 5,085-yard, par 72 Link Hills Country Club.

Host Tusculum won the team title by just one shot over Lander with a 615. Teresa Gaballer Hernani won individual medalist honors with a two-over 146. Pfeiffer will now take next week off to prepare for the three-round Conference Carolinas women's golf tournament held in Burlington April 20th-22nd.
