Women's Lacrosse Earns Bid to NCAA National Tournament! Take #4 Seed in South to #1 Seed Limestone on Saturday!

INDIANAPOLIS, I.N. - The Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team will be one of the eight teams competing for the 2013 NCAA II National Championship earning a bid as the #4 seed out of the south region announced on Sunday night. The Lady Falcons will travel to take on a familiar foe in Limestone as the Saints are ranked #1 in the region. Pfeiffer and Limestone will fight for a spot in the final four on Saturday, May 11th with match time beginning at 12:00 p.m.

The Lady Falcons earned a bid into the NCAA national tourney despite suffering a 12-11 loss to Queens in the semifinal round of the 2013 Conference Carolinas tournament. Limestone defeated Pfeiffer 11-7 earlier in the season in Gaffney using a pair of four-goal scoring streaks. Saturday's winner will advance to the women's lacrosse final four next weekend in Owings Mills, Maryland.
