Ray added to men's lacrosse coaching staff

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Head men’s lacrosse coach Jason Lange has announced the addition of Brian Ray to his staff as a graduate assistant coach. Ray comes to Pfeiffer after a successful playing career at Alvernia University in Reading, Pa.

Ray was a three-year captain as a member of the of the Crusaders lacrosse program where he led his team in goals, assists and points during his junior and senior seasons. Ray played as a midfielder and attackman and was named a Middle Atlantic Conference Scholar Athlete in 2011, 2012, and 2013. The Cranford, N.J. native is second in points scored in Alvernia lacrosse history, third in goals, and fourth in assists.

The Falcons went 13-4 in 2012 and 5-1 in conference play. The team advanced to the Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship game for the third straight season, but fell to Limestone. The program is clearly on the rise as Pfeiffer has increased or equaled its previous seasons win total in each of the past seven years.
