Pfeiffer Announces Opening of Improved Falcon Club Room
February 5, 2014
MISENHEIMER, NC - Pfeiffer Athletics hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newly opened new “Falcon Club Room" on Saturday evening during Pfeiffer basketball's double header against Lees-McRae. The event was run by Pfeiffer Athletic Director Bob Reasso '73, Pfeiffer’s Advancement Team and the Pfeiffer Athletic Senior Staff.
All alumni, Falcon Club members, and friends were invited to partake in the evening's festivities and more than 150 guests celebrated the new area. Reasso addressed the crowd and was followed by Pfeiffer's President, Mike Miller. Miller introduced Rick Knapp ’69, whose generous gift backed the project. Also participating in the ribbon cutting ceremony was Bill Mullinex, the original Falcon Club director.
The room will serve as a VIP seating area for many of Pfeiffer's indoor events as well as host many of Pfeiffer athletics most important events and meetings.
“Pfeiffer is grateful to Rick and Lourdes Knapp and the entire Knapp family for making it possible for us to develop the new Falcon Club,” said Reasso. “With tremendous growth in the Falcon Club memberships, the new space, which overlooks the basketball court, acknowledges those who support athletics at Pfeiffer. It’s a great space for our supporters to come and enjoy Falcon Athletics.”
The guests were treated to consecutive wins by Pfeiffer's men's and women's basketball teams over Lees-McRae as well.
