Women's Lacrosse Earns 11th Straight IWLCA Academic Honors; Place Six Individuals on Academic Honor Roll

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse team has placed six players on the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. Pfeiffer was one of 45 Division II schools that took home a team IWCLA Award for having a team GPA of 3.0 or better.

The six individuals that earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll are:

Haley Gourdie, Junior, Accounting                         
Ashleigh Kassab, Senior, Exercise Science                           
Rachel McCarthy, Junior, Business Administration                          
Shea McDonnell, Junior, Communications                          
Katherine Athens, Senior, Accounting                  
Sarah Daly, Senior, Environmental Science         

Players that have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA or 3.50 or greater are eligible for the team.

In total, 738 student-athletes were honored from 162 different institutions. This is the 11th consecutive season that Pfeiffer has had a team GPA of 3.0 or better.
