MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Steve Bintz has been named as an assistant coach with the Men’s and Women’s volleyball team at Pfeiffer University, announced today by Falcons athletic director Bobby Stewart and head coach Ben Guiliano.

He also served as a student assistant for the women’s volleyball team at the University of Mary Washington. Bintz racked up all-county awards while playing at McQuaid High School in Rochester, helping the Knights to a section five title while finishing as the state runner-up in 2004.
The Lady Falcons volleyball team opens up the 2009 season this Friday and Saturday with four matches at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. Pfeiffer’s first home match will take place on Tuesday, September 15th, in a Conference Carolinas matchup against Queens at 7:00 p.m.
