QUEENS USES A HAT TRICK TO SLIDE PAST MEN'S SOCCER 4-0

Story Courtesy of Queens Sports Information

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – Newcomer Bryan White (Delmar, N.Y., Bethlehem Central) scored three goals for the Royals this afternoon leading them past the Falcons of Pfeiffer University. Queens University of Charlotte blanked Pfeiffer 4-0 in the game improving their record to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Falcons fall to 3-3 overall and are 1-1 in conference play as well.

The Royals must have heard a great motivational speech from Head Coach Fred Norchi at the half as they came out ready to play scoring all four of their goals in the latter half of the game. Bryan White was first to tally a goal scoring 15 seconds into the half. He followed that up with a breakaway goal  at the 57th minute. Logan Berrier (Easton, Md., Saints Peter & Paul ) scored goal number three for the Royals at the 56th minute of play. Forsan Radwan (Richmond, Va., James River) slid him the ball on the left side and Berrier flicked it over the Falcons’ goalie. Radwan was not finished helping out his teammates as he assisted White’s third goal of the night also. With a cross from the left side of the field, White plowed the ball in to the back of the net.

The Falcons outshot the Queens 22 to 16, but goalie Chris Raines (Aurora, Colo., Cherokee Trail) was tough to get any ball past today. He recorded 10 saves for the Royals to earn his shut out for the afternoon. This is Raines’ third shutout of the season.

Renato Barbosa led the Falcons in shots with seven while Johannes Tisell had three.
