MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Both the men’s and women’s swim teams at Pfeiffer University competed last Saturday in the annual Boo Bash Relays held at Catawba College. The men placed third while the women finished fourth breaking three more school records.
The men scored 76 points trailing Wingate and Limestone in the Halloween relays. On the women’s side, the Lady Falcons finished with 62 points as Wingate University won both the men’s and women’s rankings.
Pfeiffer freshman Julianna Prim (Yadkinville, NC) broke two more individual records and participated on the one relay record-breaker. Prim set the new mark in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:08.15, the 100 fly with a time of 58.09 and along with Yukina Onoda (Concord, NC), Samantha Maness (Conway, SC) and Haley Carter (Huntersville, NC) set the new mark in the 800 free relay clocking in at 8:10.50.
The men are off this weekend while the women will host Lenoir-Rhyne and Converse in their first home meet of the season on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m.
