WOMEN'S TENNIS BOUNCES BELMONT ABBEY 9-0

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer picked up a 9-0 victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas women’s tennis action on Thursday at the Knapp Tennis Center. The Lady Falcons picked up three points on forfeits improving to 11-5 on the season, 5-3 in league play. The Crusaders remain winless in the spring falling to 0-10, 0-7.

In the two doubles matches, Alena Krutkina/Jonnell Carpenter picked up an 8-1 win over Alex Cook/Marielle McLaurin. In the only other match, Patty Dominguez /Maddy Billeter rolled Abby Poetker/Ali Recio 8-0.

Singles action saw each of the four Lady Falcons in action cruise in straight-set wins. Krutkina went 6-1, 6-0 over Cook while Dominguez went love and two over McLaurin. Catie Thomas and Chelsi Haefele, who didn’t play in their normal third doubles position due to a forfeit, each won easily in singles 6-0, 6-0.

The Lady Falcons continue their march towards the conference tournament traveling to Lees-McRae next Saturday afternoon.
