BANNER ELK, N.C. – Megan Epperson had a match high dozen kills to lead the Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-17) sweep over Pfeiffer University in Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball action on Tuesday night inside the Williams Gymnasium. With two league matches remaining, the Lady Bobcats improve to 20-17 overall, 16-0 in conference play. The loss sends Pfeiffer to 10-15, 9-7.
Lees-McRae hit .295 in the sweep placing two others in double figure kills behind Epperson. Taylor Clendenin put up 11 kills while Whitney Justice had 10. Setter Megan Mitchell had a match best 35 assists.
For Pfeiffer, Abbie Ovbey had four kills while Jordan O’Bryant, Kim Amerell, Kristina Mordini and Anna Vizvary each had three. Colleen Wands put up 15 assists while Kaci Markham popped up 13 digs.
Pfeiffer returns to action on Friday night hosting Converse in the regular season home finale. Senior night will take place before the first serve at 7:00 p.m.
