HIGH POINT, N.C. - Sarah Hebberd, a lacrosse student-athlete at Pfeiffer University, was recently highlighted by the NCAA in their national video campaign. Hebberd shared her experience with the NCAA in the "My Experience, My Life" campaign and spoke about different facets of why she chose Pfeiffer and Division II. Hebberd is the Conference Carolinas National SAAC representative and has been the liaison between league members, the conference office, and the NCAA National SAAC since January 2009. Throughout her tenure she has contributed at the national level and was recently selected as the NCAA DII National SAAC vice chair for the 2011-12 academic term.
Hebberd has become a great leader for Conference Carolinas and Pfeiffer University and exemplifies the NCAA DII Life in Balance platform. She is the President of Catholics at Pfeiffer, is a sports chaplain, a student ministry member, an athletic policy board member, and has been the co-coordinator of Pfeiffer Pfights, which raises money and awareness of breast cancer and breast cancer research. Academically, Hebberd has been a conference Academic All-Conference and Presidential Honor Roll member as well as being selected for the Pfeiffer Dean’s List.
