OLIVER AND MULLIS SNAG RUNNER OF THE WEEK AWARDS; REPRESENT PFEIFFER'S FIRST SELECTIONS IN 2011-2012

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Pfeiffer University’s Will Oliver and Kaitlyn Mullis have each been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's and women's cross country Runner of the Week during week number six in the 2011 season.

Oliver, a junior from Durham, once again led the way for the Falcons in a second place team finish at the 2011 Wilbur Ross Invitational hosted by Winston-Salem State on Saturday morning. Oliver crossed the line in 17 minutes, 20 seconds covering the 5k course to finish in the team's top spot for the 5th-consecutive week.

Mullis, a senior from Midland, paced the Lady Falcons to a third place team finish after concluding the 5k race inside the top-five in fifth with a time of 20:48. Mullis was the top finishes among Conference Carolinas participants.

Pfeiffer's next race will be on Friday, October 21st in the Conference Carolinas meet at McAlpine Park in Charlotte.
