WOMEN'S SOCCER DUELS TO SCORELESS DRAW AFTER 110 MINUTES OF ACTION AT KING

BRISTOL, T.N. - The maximum 110 minutes of action wasn't enough on Saturday as Pfeiffer University and host King College dueled to a scoreless draw in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action in Tennessee. The Lady Falcons move to 6-7-1 overall, 5-3-1 in league play while the Tornado slide to 5-6-1, 4-3-1.

Pfeiffer held a slight 11-10 advantage in shots while the Tornado put three more on goal with a 9-6 margin. The Lady Falcons' Alyssa Wombwell had one of the best chances in the match with a shot that went postal in the 98th minute of the first overtime period.

Jamie Alcala made nine saves, two in the second overtime alone, in goal for the Lady Falcons while Abbey Kitts turned away a half-dozen for King.

Pfeiffer returns to the pitch on Tuesday traveling to Carson-Newman for a 2:00 p.m. match with the Lady Eagles.
