CONCORD, N.C. - Pfeiffer University shot 48% from the floor as Josh Humphrey scored a game-high 25 points in a 74-48 victory over Barber Scotia in non-conference men's basketball action on Thursday night. The Falcons improve to 2-1 overall while the Sabers fall to 1-7.
Humphrey went 9-of-15 from the floor converting five triples on the night. KC Anuna posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds while Elijah Matthews added a dozen. The Falcons shot 54% in the second half alone.
Kevontae Harrison and Joe Miller each put up a team-high 13 points for Barber Scotia as the Sabers shot just 17% with four field goals in the first half, shooting 34% on the night.
Pfeiffer dominated in the rebounding department pulling down 45 boards to the Sabers 21. Each team drained seven three-point baskets while Pfeiffer scored 19 at the charity stripe to the Sabers nine.
