ST. CHARLES, M.O. - Pfeiffer University started off their weekend appearance at the Lindenwood Invitational with a 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20) victory over Missouri Baptist University on Friday night. The victory pushes the school-record win-streak to 11 as the Falcons move to 11-1 on the year while the Spartans fall to 13-8.
Pfeiffer hit. 320 in the win finishing strong by hitting .536 in set three followed by .371 in the fourth and final set. Caleb Brophy led the way with 15 kills on the night hitting .316. Eric Edelman and Quentin Moore each had 10 kills while Konstantin Weise put down nine kills in a dozen attempts to hit .750. David Specian assisted 38 times in the four-set win.
The toughest tournament for the Falcons continues on Saturday with a 10:00 a.m. match against the reigning NAIA national champs in Cal Baptist before taking on host Lindenwood at 2:00 p.m.
