WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO MOUNT OLIVE 7-2; MEN'S TENNIS BLANKED 9-0

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Mount Olive College took a pair of Conference Carolinas tennis victories over Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center. The women would score a 7-2 win over the Lady Falcons while the Trojan men swept 9-0.

In ladies action, Alena Krutkina and Taylor Lindsay would register an 8-3 win at #1 doubles before the final Lady Falcons point would come from Chelsi Haefele at #4 singles 6-2, 6-4. Lindsay fell in three-sets with the longest match of the day 6-7, 6-1, 1-6.

On the men's side, Ben Hunter and Sebastian Wernecke would have the closest singles match for the Falcons falling 8-6. while Orlando Castillo put up the most competition in singles dropping a 6-4, 7-5 decision at #5 singles.

Both teams will now take a few days off before hosting USC-Lancaster on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
