WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS 7-2 TO NATIONALLY-RANKED ERSKINE; KRUTKINA DEFEATS REGION-RANKED OPPONENTS

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to #37 Erskine College in Conference Carolinas action at the Knapp Tennis Center. The Fleet, ranked #8 in the Southeast region, improve to 15-3 overall, 7-0 in league play while the Lady Falcons fall to 6-10, 2-5.

In doubles action, the #1 team of Alena Krutkina and Taylor Lindsay defeated Mika Goyette and Tessa Rheault, ranked #9 in the region, 8-4. In singles competion, Krutkina, the league's reigning player of the week, defeated Hallman in a three-set thriller. Krutkina knocked off the 18th-ranked singles player 3-6, 7-5, 10-8.

Pfeiffer will return to league action quickly heading to Coker for a 3:00 p.m. matchup with the Cobras.
