MEN'S GOLF STANDS FIFTH AFTER ALL-DAY GOLF WITH TWO ROUNDS AT CONFERENCE CAROLINAS TOURNAMENT MONDAY

VASS, N.C. - Packing 36 holes of action into the first day of the 2012 Conference Carolinas men's golf tournament, Pfeiffer University stands fifth overall just 13 shots from the top spot. Sunday's first round rain out forced two rounds of golf on Monday afternoon.

All five Falcons posted both rounds in the 70's as the field took advantage of soft greens and low scoring conditions after rain over the weekend. Luiz Jacintho paced the Falcons after both rounds were complete with a 149 firing rounds of 73/76.

Michael Blair finished three shots behind Jacintho at 152 (77/75) while Cameron Fields and Tyson Louth each carded 154's. Fields shot a pair of 77's while Louth went 76/78. Troy Bulmer wrapped up team scoring with a 76/79 for a 155. All five finished inside the top-30 after two rounds of play.

The third and final round will begin with a shotgun start on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
