MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Members of the Pfeiffer University men's basketball team took time out of their hectic year-end schedule to participate in the recent March of Dimes Walk with 2,000 of their new closest friends to raise money for the charitable cause in Greensboro. Head coach Jeremy Currier formed "Team JJ" and was recognized as one of the top fundraising teams in the walk.
Backed by the support and generous contributions from friends, family and the Pfeiffer Community, the Falcons successfully completed the 5k walk through downtown Greensboro that strikes a close chord with the Currier family.
"The March of Dimes Walk is a cause that is close to my family’s heart, and the support that we received this year from our Pfeiffer community was tremendous," remarked Currier. "Spending the day with our players and coaching staff participating in this walk reminded us all of how blessed we are. I cannot thank our players, assistant coaches, and the Pfeiffer community enough for their participation and supporting our efforts.”
