MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS SEASON-OPENER 3-1 AT LIMESTONE; FALCONS OPEN AT HOME ON THURSDAY

GAFFNEY, S.C. - Pfeiffer University opened up 2013 with a come-from-behind first set win but then dropped the next three as host Limestone scored a 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 24-22, 25-22) in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action on Tuesday night. The league-opening match also served as the season-opener for both teams.

Scott Warren led the Saints with 12 kills followed by Eric Zaun's 11. Andrew Pile picked up 30 assists while Joe Gilliland added 10 digs on defense. Caleb Brophy led all attackers with 15 kills on the night while Kyle Mariano contributed 10. David Specian added a match-high 44 assists while libero Mark Hess popped up a match-high 15 digs.

Neither team hit very well in their season-opener as Pfeiffer had the edge in total kills, assists, ace, digs and points scored.
