HARVEY RACKS UP PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS AFTER MONSTER GAMES AGAINST QUEENS AND LEES-MCRAE

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University's Christina Harvey has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Player of the Week during week eleven of the 2012–2013 Basketball season. Harvey put together a monster week averaging a strong double-double in a 2-0 perfect week for the Lady Falcons.

Starting Thursday at Queens, Harvey dropped in 19 points with 14 rebounds during an 81-61 victory in Charlotte. Harvey shot 56% from the field going 9-of-16 in 38 minutes of action adding four steals. At Lees-McRae on Saturday, Harvey scored 22 with 12 boards on 7-of-11 shooting at an impressive 64% clip. Harvey sparked a late rally with seven minutes left as Pfeiffer took a 64-57 victory marking their fourth-straight. For the week, Harvey averaged 20.5 points and 13 rebounds shooting 59% from the field. Harvey continues to lead the league in field goal percentage and stands fourth nationally in the same category.

Harvey and the Lady Falcons hosted Belmont Abbey on Monday night picking up their fifth-straight win to move to 10-0 at home with a 63-49 victory. Harvey was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field scoring 23 points in addition to an 11-of-12 night at the free throw line. To wrap up the week, Pfeiffer will travel to North Greenville on Thursday and Erskine on Saturday.
