MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University rallied in sets two, three and four to score a 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-23, 25-23) victory over Limestone College in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action on Wednesday night. The win clinches a first round bye for the Falcons in the upcoming conference tournament as they improve to 11-5 overall, 10-2 in league play. The loss sends the Saints to 9-10, 6-6.

Eric Edelman had a big first set for the Falcons, especially late to keep the Falcons around, as a kill by the senior tied at 20-20 forced a Limestone timeout as Pfeiffer took a 21-20 lead. Edelman would go on to pick up kills with the score at 21-21, 22-22 and deliver a service ace after 23-22 to set up game point before Kevin Hart's two kills gave Limestone a 25-24 advantage. Andrew Miller would deliver the set's final kill as the Saints stole a 26-24 opening set win.

The Falcons would bounce back in set two to even the match at one apiece as a Caleb Brophy kill and ace by Micah Bortner pushes the hosts out to an early 6-3 lead. Edelman would extend the advantage to three with a kill at 16-14 before picking up the set's final two kills as Pfeiffer squared the match with a 25-18 set two victory.

Pfeiffer stormed back in set three down as much as four at 17-13 until back-to-back Joe Supko and David Specian blocks made it a 17-16 Limestone lead in front of a game-tying kill from Supko to complete the rally. Brophy would keep the Falcons around again with kills down 19-18 and 20-19 before a final kill from Fabio Diniz, attack error by the Saints and set-ending kill from Edelman gave the Falcons a 2-1 set lead.

Limestone took a late fourth set lead using a Scott Warren kill and Falcon attack error to take a 21-19 advantage. Hart would put down another kill to make it 23-21 forcing a Pfeiffer timeout before a Brophy kill and three-straight Limestone errors gave the Falcons a 25-23 set and 3-1 match win.

Brophy led all attackers with 19 kills while Edelman and Bortner finished with 16 and 11 respectively. Specian assisted 56 times in the four-set win while Brophy led with 10 digs for volleyball's double-double. Eric Zaun would pace the Saints with 14 kills.
