MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University women's tennis picked up their tenth-straight victory scoring their third-straight 5-4 victory, this time over visiting Limestone, in Conference Carolinas action on Tuesday afternoon. The win sends the Lady Falcons to 10-3 overall, 6-0 in league play while the Saints drop to 7-6, 3-1.
Pfeiffer took two of the three doubles matches heading into singles as Taylor Lindsay/Valeria Mendoza won 8-2 at number one while Hannah Watson/Chelsi Haefele were victorious at number two scoring a tight 8-6 decision.
In singles for the second-consecutive match, Pfeiffer's top three all registered points to secure the 5-4 win. Lindsay needed three sets in the top spot to record a 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 win while Mendoza and Watson each rolled in straght-sets. Mendoza picked up a one and four win while Watson went 6-3, 6-4.
The Lady Falcons will return to action on Friday afternoon hosting Lees-McRae for a 2:00 p.m. Conference Carolinas battle at the Knapp Tennis Center.
