BANNER ELK, N.C. - Host Lees-McRae College built an early 2-0 lead and held on for 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20) victory over Pfeiffer University in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action on Tuesday night. The win sends the Bobcats to 15-8 overall, 9-6 in league play while the Falcons drop to 11-6, 10-3.
Jose Ribas would lead the Bobcats with 20 kills on the night while Matt Harpenau followed with 11. Lees-McRae would hit .300 in set two after both teams hit poorly in the opening set and then cap off the night hitting .400 in set four. Pfeiffer was led by Caleb Brophy's 13 kills and 13 digs from libero Mark Hess. The match featured a tie score 35 times and 14 lead changes over the four-setter.
