MEN'S TENNIS SUFFERS 5-4 HEARTBREAKING LOSS TO KING

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team suffered a heartbreaking 5-4 loss to visiting King College in Conference Carolinas men's tennis action on Monday afternoon. The Tornado move to 10-6 overall, 4-4 in league play while the Falcons drop to 9-6, 4-4.

Pfeiffer took a 2-1 lead after doubles play before King reeled off four singles victories for the one-point decision. Loic Minery/Ben Hunter picked up an 8-4 win at #1 doubles while Sebastian Wernecke/Ethan Lyon scored an 8-2 win at #3. In singles, the Tornado rolled out victories in the first four positions while Jimmy Molina and Stephen Miller picked up the final points for Pfeiffer at #5 and #6. Molina was victories 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 while Miller went 6-4, 6-0.

Pfeiffer gets right back to action on Wednesday traveling to Erskine for a 2:30pm matchup at the Flying Fleet.
