BRISTOL, TN – The Pfeiffer University men’s golf team competed in the two-day King University Invitational at the Bristol Country Club on Monday and Tuesday and came away with an eighth-place finish. The Falcons were led by Nathan Bull, who finished eighth out of 48 golfers.
Bull shot a 71 on the first day, and followed that up with a round of 73 on day two of competition to place in the top 10 overall. Zach Weaver posted the second best score for the Falcons after he shaved eight strokes off his opening round total. Weaver’s second round 71 was tied with Bull for the best score in the tournament for Pfeiffer.
A.T. Cashwell and David Weinberger finished with scores of 154 and 157 respectively for the Falcons, who finished with a team score of 604.
Erskine won the event with a score of 567, followed by Mars Hill and Limestone. Barton and the host King University rounded out the top five.
The Falcons return to action on Oct. 7 and 8 when they travel to Myrtle Beach to compete in the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate Invitational.
