High Point, NC – Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Coaches have voted the University of Mount Olive as the top women’s golf team coming into the 2014 season. The Pfeiffer women's team has been predicted to finish seventh in the league.
University of Mount Olive enters the spring season ranked No. 47 in the Golfstat Division II Women’s Golf National Rankings and No. 33 in the Golf World/NGCA Division II Women's Golf Poll. The Trojans competed in four tournaments during the fall and earned a pair of top four finishes, including a second place finish at the King University Invitational.
After an impressive fall campaign, the Limestone women’s golf team has been selected to finish second in the Conference Carolinas preseason coaches’ poll. The young Saints, currently ranked No. 21 in Division II, are led by a pair of “veteran” returnees in sophomores Hannah Luckett and Taylor McInnis.
The King University women's golf team has been picked to finish third in the Conference Carolinas standings during the spring 2014 season. Sophomore Elizabeth Swallow will lead the Tornado. Swallow finished the fall season with two individual wins in four tournaments and averaged 75 strokes per round.
Converse finished fourth in the poll with North Greenville fifth followed by, Erskine, Pfeiffer, Barton, and Belmont Abbey College respectively rounding-out the poll standings.
