High Point, NC – Pfeiffer lacrosse swept the Conference Player of the Week awards as Ashleigh Kassab was named Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, while Tucker Hammock earned the same award on the men's side.
Kassab was selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week during week two of the 2013 - 2014 lacrosse season. Kassab had a great start to her season for the No.11 Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team. In her first two games of the season, Kassab exploded for eight goals and three assists, recording 11 points. In Pfeiffer's 12-7 season-opening win at Lenoir-Rhyne, Kassab netted three goals and handed out oen assist. In the Falcons 19-1 win over Converse, the junior posted a hat trick in the first 9:50 of the game. Kassab finished with five goals and two assists in the win.
Pfeiffer University’s Hammock has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week during week two of the 2013 - 2014 lacrosse season. Hammock exploded for a career-high six goals and nine points in No. 11 Pfeiffer's 25-2 victory over Lees-McRae on Sunday afternoon. Hammock finished with a 54.5 shooting percentage and added one groundball. Hammock recorded a hat-trick just under five minutes into the contest and scored all six of his goals in the first half of play.
