SALISBURY, N.C. – The 2014 Richard Rendlemen Tournament came to a conclusion on Tuesday as the 18-team field completed 36 holes of play. Pfeiffer shaved off 14 strokes from the previous round, however finished the event in 15th place.
Limestone finished in a tie with UNC Pembroke as both teams concluded the tournament with a 30-over par 598. However, it was Limestone who went on to secure the victory in playoff holes.
Benedict Gebhardt of Wingate and Alex Weare of Queens posted a field best even par score of 142 as both tied atop the individual leaderboard. Gebhardt went on to defeat Weare in playoff holes to claim the individual medalist for the tournament.
Nathan Bull paced the way for the Falcons as he concluded the tournament in a tie for 27th. Bull shot 12-over par 154, as the freshman went on to finish his third best individual tournament ranking.
The Falcons return to action March 17, as they travel to Pinehurst, N.C. to take place in the 2014 Ralph Hargett Invitational. The tournament is set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
