MEN'S GOLF TIES BEST FINISH OF THE SEASON


PINEHURST, N.C. – The 2014 Hargett Pinehurst Challenge came to a conclusion Tuesday evening as the 12-team field completed 36 holes of play.  Pfeiffer finished in a tie for fifth place, tying their best finish of the season.

Queens finished in first place as they concluded the tournament with a 27-over par 603.

Benedict Gebhardt of Wingate finished atop the individual leaderboard as he posted a two over par 146.

Nathan Bull finished tied for ninth in what was his second best finish of his career.  Bull posted a score of seven over par 151, five strokes behind Gebhardt.

David Weinberger finished with a score of 12-over par 156, as he finished tied for 16th.  Weinberger’s tournament finish was his best finish of his career thus far.

Zach Weaver also had a strong finish as he placed tied for 29th with a 15-over par 159 en route to his second best finish of his career.

The Falcons will return to action April 7, as they travel to Goldsboro, N.C. to compete in the Mount Olive Tournament.  The shotgun start is set for 9:00 a.m.
