Baseball Loses to Tusculum

Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer lost to Tusculum 12-5 in non-conference baseball action Wednesday afternoon. Pfeiffer jumped out to a 3-0 lead but Tusculum came back in the late innings to win. Pfeiffer falls to 15-17 on the season.

Hayes Hinson doubled in Ryan Brown in the first to give Pfeiffer a 1-0 lead.

In the third Kyle Pugh doubled home Brown and Bryan Braxton as the Falcons incresed their lead to 3-0.

Tusculum grabbed an unearned run in the third and got a home run from Dustin Morrow in the fourth to close to within 3-2.

Tusculum grabbed the lead in the sixth on a two-run home run by Christian Rosa.

Pfeiffer tied it in the bottom of the sixth when Daniel brown singled home Kyle Pugh.

With four runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth Tusculum sealed a 12-4 win.

Tim Peele took the loss in relief for Pfeiffer. Brandon tuten got the win for Tusculum.

Pfeiffer will host chowan in a three game series this weekend. On Saturday a dou ble-header will start at 12:00 pm and single game will be played on Sunday starting at 1:00 pm
