Anders Oster led of the second with line drive that bounced off the right field wall for a stand-up double and after Creston Warner walked Daniel Petitti rolled a single through the middle to plate Oster and give the Saints a 2-0 lead.

Pfeiffer cut the Saints lead in half in the third inning when Ryan Harju took a Don Brice pitch and lined it into left to score Tyler Smith for the Falcons first run of the game. In the bottom half of the inning, the Saints put two on with no outs before Morrison hit a double to left-center to plate Andre Airich and Tate for a 4-1 advantage.

The Falcons answered again when Daniel Brown delivered a two out single to score Hayes Hinson and make it a 4-2 game in the fourth. Oster led off the bottom of the fifth with a double down the right field line and advanced to third on a wild pitch before Warner brought the runner home on a groundout to the left side to give the Saints an 8-4 lead. Rickett would provide an RBI single to bring Tate to the plate in the sixth and extend the Saints lead to five runs.

Warner broke out of a slump in the seventh with a lead-off double and was brought home on a groundout by Brisson for a 10-5 lead.
