spiotta.jpgLAURINBURG, N.C.—Visiting Pfeiffer University was able to defeat St. Andrews Presbyterian College to win a Conference Carolinas volleyball match-up 30-22, 30-19, 30-20 Saturday afternoon. Juniors Petra Ljubicic and Lauren Spiotta each ripped nine kills for the visitors as the Falcons improved to 17-9 overall and 10-5 in Conference Carolinas action. The Knights are now 10-19 and 9-8.

Pfeiffer steadily built large leads in all three games behind 32 assists from junior Morgan Liebert.

Other Falcons leaders included Spiotta logging 2.5 blocks; junior Brittney Poole scooping up 25 digs; and senior Nicole Cummings and sophomore Gabby McKinley serving up 3 and 2 aces, respectively.

Pfeiffer will return to action Tuesday night when they host Lees-McRa at 7:00 pm.
